Belleville, IL Concrete Steps Raised with PolyLEVEL
Challenge
Over the years, several concrete steps leading to the backyard of a nice home in Belleville, IL had started to develop cracks and subside. Cracks - big and small ones - were scattered about the stairs with most of them hiding along the seams where two different steps met together. The upper concrete landing was settling away from the home, and it needed to be leveled and raised to restore it to its original position. Other concrete steps also needed to be leveled and raised as well to prevent further damage and subsidence.
Homeowners Chris and Krissa contacted Woods Basement Systems of Collinsville, IL, and by the end of April, the company sent one of their System Design Specialists, David, to inspect their concrete steps and diagnose the problem. He determined the homeowners needed PolyLEVEL injection to repair the damages of their concrete steps.
Solution
After it was determined that PolyLEVEL was the proper solution for repairing the damages of their concrete steps, Chris and Krissa met with Dave again within the first week of May, and they signed a contract as well as scheduled a day in the beginning of June for a production team to work on their steps.
On June 4, 2015, Foremen Dave and Jeff drove to Belleville, IL and spent about two hours injecting PolyLEVEL into various slabs of Chris and Krissa's concrete steps. First, three penny-sized holes were drilled into the upper concrete landing, and as Jeff injected PolyLEVEL into the each of the holes, Dave, the primary foreman, continued drilling other holes along the stairs, prepping them for PolyLEVEL. Once all of the designated slabs were drilled and filled, Dave worked on brushing away the concrete dust as Jeff covered the holes they created with cement. By the time they were finished cleaning up, the PolyLEVEL had already started to solidify and began leveling the slabs back to their original position.
Chris and Krissa, very satisfied with the results of the PolyLEVEL, called the following morning and rated Dave and Jeff's work a 10.
