Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing a Leaking Basement in Saint Louis, MO
Water was coming down the walls in a basement in Saint Louis, MO, causing damage. To solve this issue, the BrightWall Paneling System was first installed. This is an all-plastic, bright white, basement wall paneling that provides a clean look for an unfinished basement. It prevents water vapor from seeping into the basement and drains any wall leaks down to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch wall seepage and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, draining water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharging it from the house. Next, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge System was installed. The patented design of this system automatically allows water to escape through its perforations when pipe terminations are blocked, usually by ice or snow. Lastly, a LawnScape Outlet was installed. This connects the discharge lines to a special extension sending water away from the foundation while camouflaging the end of the pipe. Thanks to these systems, this basement will now remain dry all the time!
Wall Damage
Water has been coming down this basement wall and damaging it.
Wall and Drainage Systems
BrightWall will improve the look of the basement wall and drain any leaks down to WaterGuard, which will then carry the water to the sump pump.
Sump Pump
The TripleSafe can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it.
Discharge Lines
IceGuard adds a drain at the base of the house to protect the system from backing up in the case of a sump pump discharge point that is clogged by snow or ice.
Discharge Outlet
LawnScape will extend the downspout with a system that lies even with or below the ground to add a subtle, noninvasive drainage system to the yard that will not clog up and cease to do its job.
