Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Refinishing and Waterproofing a Basement in Saint Louis, MO
Water was damaging the walls of a basement in Saint Louis, MO, so the homeowner wanted to waterproof and have the walls and floor replaced. First, the WaterGuard system was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it out of the house. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system, which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. Next, the EverLast Basement Wall System was installed. The trim of this system is all plastic and installed over metal studs, so no paint is ever needed. It also can’t be ruined by a plumbing leak, high humidity, or mold growth. Additionally, the ThermalDry Flooring System was installed. The planks have pegs that raise the flooring above the concrete floor, preventing water vapor from getting trapped and providing a thermal break from the cold concrete slab. This results in a warmer basement floor that won't grow mold, rot, or buckle. This basement will stay dry and clean for years to come thanks to these systems!
