Water Leaking at the Wall and Floor
This painted basement block wall was leaking at the floor seam because of the monolithic footing. The wall was built on top of this one piece footing and basement floor construction.
Interior Waterproofing
We installed a special waterproofing device at the floor and wall plus added a drainage system under the basement floor to relieve the hydrostatic pressure and drain all the water leaking into the basement to their existing sump pump.
Leaking Basemant
A drainage system is installed a few feet away from the basement foundation wall by breaking out a small section of the basement floor. The leaking water is controlled at the wall by our exclusive edging that will make the basement will stay dry.
Combo System
This monolithic basement requires two waterproofing methods, a pressure relief for under the floor and an edging to control water seepage under the block foundation wall constructed on top of the footing floor concrete pour.
Remove and Re-pour
Once the floor trench is broken out, the piping and rock is installed in open trench and new basement floor concrete is replaced.
Going under interior walls
With Monolithic footing floor constructed basements, interior wall are built on top of the floor. To complete a full waterproofing system we can remove a small section of the basement floor and go under the walls.
Basement Waterproofing
With Monolithic (One Piece Footing and Floor) basements, we install the hydrostatic pressure drainage several feet away for the foundation wall. Under the rock trench is the "green" 4 inch drainage pipe. Additional drainage is at the basement walls behind the 'grey" edging just to the left in this photo. All the leaking water is controlled and drained directly to a sump pump to make sure the basement will stay dry.
Wall Drainage
Behind the sample piece of waterproofing edging, is a small drain line connected to the 4 inch drain pipe towards the center of the basement floor. All the leaking seepage is controlled and drained to a sump pump and the hydrostatic pressure under the floor will not cause future leaks.
Finished Re-Concrete Floor
The new darker looking concrete is wet from being just poured in the waterproofing trench.
Finished Wall Drain Line
Now that the wall drain line is installed the last step is to apply the edging to make sure water leaking into the basement will drain properly and keep the rest of the basement dry.
Waterproofing EDGING Installed
The grey edging, looking like a baseboard, controls the water leaking under the block foundation wall on top of the basement floor and is drained to a sump pump.
