In Granite City, Illinois a homeowner was experiencing water seeping into their home. After meeting them for a free estimate, we installed a sill plate drainage system on the outside of the house to keep the water from seeping in, because the leak was at the sill plate.

Sill Plate Leaking

You can see where the water is coming in, which is right at the sill plate of the home.

Outside Waterproofing

We dig down to the top of the foundation to install the system so any water that is pooling in the area will be collected by the system and taken away from the house.

Waterproofing

The white sheet is what we use to waterproof basement walls. Our sock drain tile will sit on top of the sheet which is sealed along the side of the house.

The black pipe has a sleeve around it meant to filter water into the system and take it away from the home.

This system needed an exterior sump pump system installed. Here is the pit the sump pump will sit in.

Because the water was seeping in through the sill plate there was some water damage inside of the home along the walls right at where the floor meets the wall.
