Sump Pump Discharge Line
We extend the sump pump discharge line to be buried under the yard to make sure the water properly flows away from the house.
Floor Cracks
As part of a proper perimeter drainage system, basement floor cracks can be easily repaired.
Exterior Drainage
Homeowners are always surprised where their basements leak even when the outside drainage looks to drain water properly away from the home. Basement seepage occurs because of the "clay-bowl" effect.
Floor Cracks Continued...
Floor cracks are caused by hydrostatic pressure under the floor, heaving, or poor construction prep, and settling may occur. For this large ranch-style home, the likelihood of floor cracks and floor cracks leaking is not uncommon.
Two Things to See in this Photo
Lower left of this photo is our inspection port that goes along with our waterproofing system. It may also act as a condensation line port. The next thing to see is how we can customize our drainage system to go around obstacles such as a 1 1/2" drain line from a sink.
Basement Waterproofing
Our waterproofing system is installed along the perimeter of the basement where the floor and the wall meets. Our system collects the water and relieves the hydrostatic pressure. The water is collected and drained into our sump pump system. In note next photo, we will talk about the lateral line seen by the red bucket.
Basement Waterproofing with Lateral Line
Basement lateral lines are typically used with larger homes and larger basement drainage requirements. If a lateral line a second sump pump system would need to be installed to handle the high volume of water leaking into this basement. With a lateral line, water is properly drained and managed from the opposite side of the basement to your sump pump location.
