Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Performing a Thorough Inspection
This home in Troy, IL. was in need of an annual maintenance inspection. The homeowner had previously hired Woods Basement Systems to install several products, including a TripleSafe™ sump pump system and a WellDuct™ beneath a basement window.
Dwayne M. from Woods Basement Systems was able to perform the inspection and went to the home to ensure that the systems were working properly. During the inspection, Dwayne made sure each of the three pumps in the TripleSafe™ system worked well and that the WellDuct™ had no leaks. After he had ensured that these systems were working, Dwayne continued to inspect other elements of the waterproofing. During his inspection, Dwayne noticed that one of the IceGuard™ attachments had come clear of the discharge line and that the clear cover of the SunHouse™ window well was not properly secured.
He was able to repair the damage and fix the discharge line as well as the cover of the SunHouse™ during that same inspection. With everything working well, the homeowner can rest assured that the waterproofing systems will continue to work effectively and the basement will be protected from flooding.
The TripleSafe™ Sump Pump
This TripleSafe™ sump pump system features three individual pumps. During an inspection, each of the three pumps is checked to ensure that it is in working condition. The sump liner and battery are also checked.
WellDuct™ Below a Window
This WellDuct™ will drain water from beneath the window before it has a chance to leak inside. The water is directed into the ground, where a drywell is created for it or where the perimeter drainage system can remove it.
Disconnected IceGuard™
During an inspection, the technician noticed that the IceGuard™ attachment on the left had come undone. He was able to fix this issue and reseal the discharge line so that it would not leak.
SunHouse™ Window Well Without Cover
The cover of this SunHouse™ enclosure was not properly placed, allowing a slight amount of debris and water into the area. The technician was able to replace the cover and ensure that the area was once again protected.
Reattached Cover
With the cover on the window well replaced, water and debris will be prevented from entering the space and dirtying the window or leaking inside.
