Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard™ Behind a Finished Wall
Karen K. from Troy, IL. had finished walls in her basement, but still needed a waterproofing system.
Fortunately, John L. was able to install WaterGuard™, the waterproofing drainage system, beneath the finished walls. WaterGuard™ sits right on top of the foundation where it can drain any water that seeps up from beneath the basement floor to the sump pump system.
Once the WaterGuard™ system was in place, it was covered with concrete and hidden seamlessly into the floor. Then, John was able to replace the bottom section of the finished walls he had to remove, taking care to replace insulation and drywall as it had been before. John used new, waterproof panels for the bottom half of the walls so that, in the event of a flood or plumbing leak, the wall wouldn't be damaged.
Now the finished walls look great, have the same insulation as before and are waterproofed against leaks and floods. That's all great news for Karen K., who can enjoy her finished basement walls, knowing that they are safe from water damage.
