Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: The Total Basement Protection Package
Homeowners in Chesterfield, MO. had troubles with their basement. The walls were cracking and leaning, there were water leaks in several corners and the air was moist and dank.
But Woods Basement Systems has the answer to all these problems. The first step was to address the cracking walls. After all, if the foundation walls fall apart there isn't much point in a waterproofing system. To support the walls and stop their leaning, wall anchors were installed. The wall anchors are a GeoLock™ system that uses an anchor burried outside and a plate secured to the wall inside to not only hold and strengthen the walls, but pull them to a straight position once again.
With the wall anchors in place, it was time to address the floor leaks. A drainage system was installed along the base of the wall which would collect those leaks and direct them to the sump pump system. In places where the walls also leaked CleanSpace™ was installed to direct those leaks down into the drainage system. CleanSpace™ is a durable and mold-resistant material that will keep everything on the inside dry, even if it leans against the wall!
The floor drainage system and the CleanSpace™ walls all direct the water to the UltraSump™ system which pumps the water out of the house. As an added bonus, the sleek, low-profile design of the CleanSpace system and the wall anchors allowed the homeowner to hide them behind a finished wall.
With dry walls and floors, the only thing that was left was to dry the air. A Sedona air dehumidifier was installed to wring the air dry and keep the basement feeling dry and comfortable. The Sedona pulls air through its system and removes the water, which it dumps into the sump pump system so that there's no emptying for you. It also filters the air and removes small particles like dust mites and mold spores, which can make the air in a basement feel dank and cave-like.
The homeowner can enjoy the finished basement feel knowing that behind those walls the foundation walls are strong and straight and the CleanSpace™ water barrier will keep the back of the walls dry and safe from mold and that the air is dried and cleansed of mold spores.
GeoLock™ Wall Anchors In Place
These plates attach to a GeoLock™ anchor buried in the earth outside and can keep this wall strong and straight permanently.
Wall Anchors and CleanSpace™ Tucked Away
The low profile of the wall anchor system means it can easily be hidden behind other structures like this wall.
CleanSpace™ and Wall Anchors
CleanSpace™ was installed in this leaky corner to keep the inside dry while this wall anchor keeps the wall straight and stable.
The Sump Pump
Even the best water proofing systems need a place for the water to go. This sump pump will move the water from the drainage system outside and away from the house.

This Sedona air dehumidifier will pull moisture out of the air and drain it straight into the sump pump so you never have to empty it.
