Brett B. of Springfield, Illinois wanted to waterproof his basement before the upcoming storms and rainy whether. Using his basement for storage of important items and keepsakes, he did not want to be worried about them being ruined in the spring whether. Brett decided to call Woods Basement Systems to help waterproof his basement once and for all. Our foremen Tyler Sears brought his team out to Brett's Springfield home and installed our specially designed piping system, WaterGaurd. WaterGaurd is engineered specifically to be an efficient, long-lasting interior perimeter basement waterproofing system. Now Brett will not have to worry about damage to special items stored in his basement.

Basement Storage

Many homeowners store important and precious items in their basement. Most would like to be secure in knowing that their items are clean and dry.

Wet Basements

Footing drain failure is the most common cause of wet basements. This causes soil around the outside of the foundation to become saturated, causing the basement to flood or leak.

Wall before WaterGaurd

Even in basements that are already finished, it is much easier to waterproof from the inside than the outside.

Wall after WaterGaurd

WaterGaurd sits on top of the footing, instead of alongside it, keeping the wet dirt from getting into the drain because the drain does not sit in the mud.

WaterGaurd Install

WaterGuard drain lines are positioned on top of a gravel layer laid down over the wall footing. Specially designed fittings join tile sections together and connect the drainage system to the sump pump.
