Gene of Athens, Illinois wanted to completely waterproof her basement so that they could use the extra space to host and entertain their guests. This is what led to Gene calling Woods Basement Systems to schedule an appointment with system design specialist, Adam R. Adam looked over the basement and recommended installing a sump pump system along with a drainage system. Gene chose a TwinPack sump pump that contains a dual pump feature along with a french designed WaterGuard drainage system. Together this duo will ensure if water leaks in, it will be pumped right back outside! Thanks to foreman, Juan H., these products were installed quickly, yet efficiently.

Extra Space

This homeowner wanted to waterproof her basement so that she and her husband could entertain their guests in the extra space.

French Drains

What was used to waterproof his space? WaterGuard drains were installed into the footing of the foundation to collect water leaks and stop them in their tracks. Along the perimeter you can see the new drainage system installed.

TwinPack Sump Pump

A new sump pump was installed in the basement to pump out all water leaks that seep into the space. This dual sump pump system will operate at all times, and if the primary pump fails, the backup pump will switch on.

SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidifier

Next to the new TwinPack sump pump, a new SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to purify the air. This high-tech dehumidifier will keep the air in the basement, and throughout the entire home, clean.

IceGuards on the Discharge Lines

Outdoor waterproofing was put into effect at this New Athens, IL home. IceGuards were installed over the discharge lines to prevent the lines from clogging or freezing during harsh weather conditions.

Extended Lines

The discharge lines that carry water leaks out of the basement were also upgraded. The purpose of extending these lines is to drive water leaks into the yard instead of the water draining next to the house.
