This basement didn't have any means of protection against water leaks before Team Woods came! Foreman, Logan B., along with his crew installed top waterproofing products that included a new drainage system, a sump pump, and a vapor barrier system. In this album you will get to see the condition of the basement before the team was called and after with the updated products.

Musty Space

This basement was in desperate need of waterproofing to protect it against harmful water damage. The homeowner quickly reached out to Woods Basement Systems to find a solution to this reoccurring, water leaking issue.

Harming the Walls

What harm can water do if left untreated? Many homeowners do not realize that water damage on either the floor and walls or both can lead to a domino effect of issues.

Hefty Cracks

Over time water will harm the safety of the foundation by breaking it down. The continuous exposure created hefty cracks in the basement walls.

More Cracking Found

The brick foundation in this basement was covered with a cement layer. Over time water had broken down the cement and the result is shown in this image. You can see that this wall has shifted and developed cracks due to the underlying issue, water.

Source of Water

Another issue within this basement was that water wasn't only leaking from outside, but some derived inside. This basement had a shower that would leak from time to time allowing water damage to develop.

WaterGuard Drainage System

The first waterproofing system installed was a french drainage system called WaterGuard. WaterGuard drains are installed into the footing of the basement walls to collect and direct water leaks towards the sump pump system.

CleanSpace Encapsulatuion System

Over the wall, a vapor barrier system was installed, better known as CleanSpace. CleanSpace is made out of inorganic materials to block out all harmful outer elements, especially water.

Protective Materials

Here you can see the WaterGuard drains along with the CleanSpace encapsulation system. Together these waterproofing products will work to keep pesky water leaks out. If water tries to leak in, the CleanSpace system will block the water from getting inside and will direct the leaks towards the drainage system. From there the WaterGuard drains will move the water towards the home's updated sump pump system.

TripleSafe Sump Pump System

Also installed into the flooring is a TripleSafe sump pump system. Out of all waterproofing products a sump pump could be the most vital to keep water out of the basement. This three pump system will pump water leaks back outside where they belong keeping this basement healthy and dry all year-round!
