Snow Melting
Many homeowners think that during winter their homes won't experience water damage. Unfortunately, this is not true.
Water Inside
Once the temperatures rise and the snow melts, this can lead to trouble inside. As you can see this snow melted into the basement and created water damage.
Installation
Once Team Woods vacuumed the water out of the basement, the next step was to remove the lower section of the walls. These walls needed to be removed to make room for the drainage system that would be installed.
Drainage System
Once the lower section of the wall was removed, the crew installed a drainage system into the footing of the walls.
WaterGuards
The drainage system installed is called WaterGuard. WaterGuard drains are a French designed system that collects and directs water leaks towards the basement sump pump system.
Added Sump Pump
Since this basement didn't have a sump pump previously, Team Woods added a TripleSafe sump pump. This sump pump will collect the water that the drainage system directed towards it and from there will pump it back outside.
Outside Protection
During harsh weather conditions, discharge lines can freeze or clog. With the help of Woods Basement Systems, IceGuard attachments were placed over the discharge lines to keep the system running year-round.
