Waterproofing
This homeowner wanted to do protective waterproofing in his basement after years of noticing small water leaks.
Solution?
Team Woods sent system design specialist, Bill C., to the home to see what would protect the home from water damage. Bill recommended installing a sump pump system along with a drainage system to keep water out.
Storage Space
Realistically, all basements at some point or another will experience water leaks. The lowest area of the basement is the most susceptible area for leaks than any other room in a home. This is why waterproofing this basement was a smart decision.
Drainage System
Bill recommended installing a drainage system so that water leaks would be stopped before they could enter inside. Most water leaks leak in where the walls met the floor.
WaterGuard Drains
WaterGuard drains are unlike any other drainage system on the market because they are installed in the footing of the basement floor. After they are put in place, they are covered with a cement layer to seal the system to prevent clogging.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Next, the TripleSafe sump pump was installed by the WaterGuard drains. This system will work hand and hand with the drains to pump out the water that the drains collect.
Discharge Lines
Attached to the sump pump are discharge lines. These lines are used to pump the water back outside where it belongs!
