Replacing Sump Pump
One of the most beneficial products to invest in when waterproof your basement is a sump pump. Sump pumps are designed to collect and discard all water leaks at enter inside. This sump pump was outdated and couldn't handle the demand of water that would leak in. Team Woods would soon replace this old sump with a new TripleSafe sump pump.
Water Damaged Walls & Floor
Since the current sump pump couldn't handle the demand of water that would leak inside, you can see all of the water stains from years of build-up. If left untreated water can actually break down the structure of the basement.
WaterGuard Drainage System
The next product Team Woods will install is a drainage system to make it easier for the sump pump to collect all water leaks. This drainage system is called WaterGuard. It is a French designed system that is installed in the perimeter of the room.
Damaged Walls
The WaterGuard drains will be installed in the footing of the basement walls to collect the pesky water leaks that seep in. Most water leaks find their way inside where the walls met the floor, so WaterGuards will be able to stop the leaks in their tracks and direct them towards the TripleSafe sump pump.
CleanSpace
Mostly when you hear about CleanSpace, you think of a crawl space. CleanSpace is actually really helpful when waterproofing a basement because it protects the walls from water damage.
Damaged Walls
With CleanSpace on these walls, the vapor barrier will block out water leaks from entering inside. If any leaks seep in through the wall, the barrier will guide the leaks to the WaterGuard drains.
