Pablo from Jacksonville, Illinois reached out to Woods Basement Systems out of concern that water would continuously leak into his basement. Pablo worked with system design specialist, Chris T., who worked with Pablo to find suitable options that would prevent water from damaging his basement. The final products selected were WaterGuard drains, an UltraSump pump, and a CleanSpace encapsulation system. All three products were installed by head foreman, Tyler S., and his team of installers. Team Woods installed a WaterGuard drainage system into the footing of the basement walls along with an UltraSump to pump out the water leaks. The CleanSpace encapsulation system that was installed on the walls to protect them and to help guide water leaks towards the home's new sump pump. Now with the help of these three top waterproofing products, this basement will continue to remain safe and dry for years to come.

Weather Change

A common issue we see with homeowners is that once the weather warms up, the melted snow can leak into the basement. If the basement isn't prepared, this can lead to serious water damage.

Inside the Home

Once Team Woods entered the basement, they were faced with the homeowner's storage. If water were to leak in these items would be water damaged, so it was essential to the homeowner that this space was waterproofed.

CleanSpace System

The first product that was installed was a CleanSpace encapsulation system. This vapor barrier system will block out water leaks and will prevent mold from forming on the walls.

Sealed Space

This system is unlike any other because it completely seals the basement walls from water leaks. If water were to leak inside, the system would help direct the leaks towards the drainage system.

WaterGuard Drains

Next, WaterGuard drains were installed into the floor to collect the water leaks collected. These drains will then take the collected water and move it towards the home's sump pump system.

Covered

The WaterGuard drains are then covered with a cement layer to seal the system from possible clogging. Once dried, these drains won't be noticeable and will blend into the floor.

UltraSump Pump

Finally, an UltraSump sump pump was installed to pump out the water that leaks inside. This double pumping system is dependable year around because if one pump fails, the backup pump will switch on.
