Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet, Moldy Basement Fitted With TripleSafe And WaterGuard
This album showcases the damage that water can cause to a finished basement. This Willow Hill home's basement was plagued with leaks that led to mold growth and ruined carpet, among other things. A Woods Basement Systems team had to rip up the carpet and walls before getting to work waterproofing the space. First, WaterGuard drains were installed underneath the floor at the base of the walls to catch leaks and prevent them from making it onto the floor. Finally, a TripleSafe sump pump was put in place to remove all of that water.
Water Damage
Easily visible on the bottom section of the wall is quite a bit of water staining. The carpet is also clearly wet.
Mold Growth
Extended exposure to moisture led to quite a bit of mold growth in the home. It is even more easy to see in this photo just how bad the carpet had gotten.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
In order to waterproof the space, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed. The TripleSafe comes equipped with three pumps, including a battery backup, and is capable of removing over 10,000 gallons of water per hour.
