Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Finished Basement Waterproofed With TwinPack and WaterGuard
Water can wreak havoc on finished basements, soaking carpet, ruining drywall, and destroying valuables. Because of this, it is extremely important to waterproof a basement before finishing it. This Highland, Illinois homeowner, unfortunately, chose not to do this, and she ended up paying the price. Water leaking from behind her basement closet ruined her carpet and several valuables that were kept in the area. She called a Woods Basement Systems team, who then had to cut away the closet wall to gain access to the foundation wall behind. They then installed WaterGuard drains under the floor at the base of the foundation wall and a TwinPack sump pump in the space. All of this could have been avoided if she had called Woods before finishing her basement!
Ruined Carpet
The leaks made it out into the living space, ruining the carpet.
Source Of The Leak
The water was coming from behind this cut away closet wall.
WaterGuard Installed
A Woods team installed WaterGuard drains, indicated by the wet concrete, underneath the floor at the base of the foundation walls behind the closet to catch leaks well before they can make it into the finished space.
TwinPack Sump Pump
A TwinPack sump pump was also installed in the space to remove all of the water caught by the WaterGuard drains.
