Soaked Carpet
During heavy rainstorms, this homeowner recalled that his carpet would soak up. Once the carpet dried, he was left with water stained carpet that carried a musty smell.
Carpet Taken Out
The first step to waterproofing his basement was to uproot the soggy carpet. From there Team Woods could install waterproofing products that would prevent the floors and walls from developing water damage.
Stained Floor
Once the carpet was taken out, Team Woods noticed that the water had stained more than the carpet. The water had left the floor stained with mildew concentrated. The team scrubbed the floors and then dug trenches around the perimeter of the room to install WaterGuard drains.
Installing WaterGuards
Head foreman Greg H. and his crew installed the WaterGuard drains in the footing of the basement walls. This way if water were to leak in, it would be collected by these drains, and then carried to the sump pump.
Completed Drains
Now that the top, cement layer has been installed, these drains are now sealed and ready to function.
Pumping System
The sump pump that the WaterGuard drains will direct water leaks to is called the TripleSafe sump pump. This three pump sump pump will collect all water that is collected from the WaterGuard drains and is pumped back outside. The TripleSafe and WaterGuard will keep this basement dry, clean, and protected!
