Not Functioning Pump
This homeowner had a sump pump, but it old and outdated. The basement sump pump was unable to service its purpose that was to pump water leaks back outside.
Flooded Pump
Once Team Woods came out to the house, they inspected the pump and noticed that it was flooded. The team designed a waterproofing plan to replace the old pump with a new TripleSafe sump pump that could handle large volumes of water year around.
Harmful Damage
Water can be extremely detrimental to the well being of any home. Over time water will weaken the foundation, which can lead to a domino effect of issues such as cracks, bowing, or shifting of the foundation.
Trenches for Drains
This waterproofing project began with the team digging into the footing of the basement walls to make room for the WaterGuard drains. The WaterGuard drains will keep water out of the house by collecting the leaks and sending them towards the basement sump pump.
WaterGuards Sealed
The WaterGuard drains were finished by sealing the system with a top layer of cement. The cement layer is used to completely seal the system from possible clogging or backing up.
New Pumping System
Next, a TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to replace the old, outdated sump. This new pump will be dependable year around because it features a primary pump with two battery operated back-up pumps that will switch on in case the primary pump experiences failure.
New Discharge Lines
Connected to the home's TripleSafe sump pump, new discharge lines were installed. Discharge lines are used to carry water leaks back outside through the piping system.
Outdoor Extensions
Connected to the discharge lines, IceGuards were attached to prevent the lines from freezing, clogging, and backing up. These IceGuards will protect the discharge lines even during harsh weather conditions.
