Tom from St. Louis wanted to waterproof his basement because the amount of water that leak inside only increased over the years. Tom wanted to work with an expert, so he called Team Woods. System design specialist, Bill C., worked to find a solution for this home's waterproofing needs. Bill used his extension waterproofing knowledge to design a customized plan for Tom's basement. A TripleSafe sump pump was used to replace the old, outdated sump. The previous sump wasn't able to pump out any of the water leaks that the basement had experienced, so it was time for an update. WaterGuard drains were also installed in the perimeter of the room to collect the pesky leaks and direct them towards the new sump pump. This dynamic duo will keep the home safe and healthy for several years to come.

Old, Wet Basement

This old home had a lot of water coming in during heavy rains. This combination is unsafe because over time water leaks will break down/ weaken the structure of a home and this would largely impact an old house.

Water Stained Floor

Throughout the basement water damage was seen both on the walls and floor. Water damage isn't just an eyesore, but it can also generate a domino effect of damages.

Mold Growth

One of these domino effects is mold growth. Of course, we all know that mold is unsafe, but it can negatively impact the air quality throughout the entire house.

Damages Walls and Floor

This image gives a better representation of the damages water had caused to the walls and floor. Water will slowly eat away at these materials, which means that a solution to water leaks was needed as quickly as possible.

WaterGuard to Restore

In the same spot as the last photo, here WaterGuard drains had freshly been installed. After the cement topping dries, this system will blend into the floor, and more importantly collect the water leaks.

WaterGuard drains are one of the best drainage systems on the market because they are installed in the footing of the basement walls. This feature prevents the drains from clogging and backing up, so they are dependable at all times.
