Before...
Before the project began, this basement was wet, unprotected, and unappealing.
After!
What a difference! Here is the final result of the waterproofing project conducted by Team Woods. Now, this basement is dry, protected, and beautiful!
Not Protected
This basement was utilized for extra storage space, but due to water leaks, the homeowner didn't trust that her storage would remain damage-free.
Basement as an Asset
Here is a look at the same spot in the basement (different angle) of the freshly waterproofed room. Thankfully now this space can be used for whatever purpose the homeowner desires!
What products were used?
BrightWall panels were installed on top of the walls to prevent water leaks from not only leaking inside but also from damaging the wall. Water leaks will weaken the foundation over time and can leave the wall looking discolored and damaged.
French Drains
The next system installed was a WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard drains are a French designed system that is installed in the footing of the basement walls to collect and direct water leaks to the sump pump. These drains are installed in the perimeter of the room to prevent the water from entering into the room and causing water damage.
TwinPack Pump
Lastly, the home was in need of a sump pump. A sump pump will collect the water leaks from the drains and send them out of the house through a discharge line. This pump, in particular, is unique because it contains a primary pump and a battery-operated backup pump.
