Cracking in Floor & Walls
Cracks had developed in this brick basement on the walls and floor due to hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure placed on the basement when the soil surrounding the house is saturated with water. The more water that is in the soil, the heavier and more weight is placed on the basement.
Basement Waterproofing
The cracks created by the hydrostatic pressure allows water and critters to enter! To solve this issue, this Collinsville, IL home will be waterproofed to seal the basement from harm.
Clean Air Throughout Home
A dry basement does much more than providing additional space to utilize, but now the home will have safe, clean air throughout the entire home. The air you breathe in the upper levels of your home first enters through the basement or crawl space.
Encapsulation System & Drains
The CleanSpace encapsulation system was installed onto the brick walls to protect the inside of the home from the cracks and gaps that water would previously flow through. In the footing of the basement, the drainage system that Team Woods installed is called Water Guard. Now if water were to leak through the wall cracks, the drainage system below will catch it and send it to the sump pump.
TripleSafe, WaterGuard, & CleanSpace Installed
The final touch to completely waterproofing this basement was adding our TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe pump will work with both the CleanSpace system and the WaterGuard drains to pump out any pesky water leaks that leak into the basement.
