Wall Waterproofing
To keep the basement as dry as possible it is important to treat the basement walls for leaks and moisture vapor coming through. This homeowner selected our CleanSPACE™ vapor barrier so they could finish their basement with confidence. The vertical material is mechanically fasten tot he foundation and draped into the waterproofing floor trench. Next the waterproofing piping, WaterGUARD™ is installed to collect and control all the water getting into the basement.
Going Under Doors
If the interior doors are hung properly, waterproofing under them is no problem.
Basement Wall and Floor Waterproofing
Complete wall and floor waterproofing with the vertical moisture barrier on the walls and floor piping taking all the water to the sump pump.
Perimeter Waterproofing
Install our waterproofing system around the entire basement means going around interior walls too. We use brown stone and no limestone with our waterproofing system because the line dust with limestone can set up as concrete dams and not let all the leaking water flow to the sump pump.
Basement Concrete Floor Re-Poured
The wet concrete will dry out in 28 days and the basement is ready to be finished now that it is all dry.
Close Up of CleanSPACE™ and the Floor Waterproofing
The waterproofing piping is set under the re-poured concrete floor along the wall. The small open space allows the wall vapor barrier, CleanSPACE™, to work draining all the wall leaks into the basement waterproofing system.
Sump Pump System
This sump pump has two primary sump pumps that each have their own discharge lines to get the water out of the basement very quickly. The solid lid stops evaporating moisture from getting out. Plus the two sump pumps are set on two different level so they operate independently as needed such as during heavy rains.
Inspection Port
The waterproofing inspection port also provides access for condensations lines from the HVAC system in the basement so its drain line is not a trip hazard across the basement floor to a floor drain. We always recommend a basement dehumidifier be used in a basement especially a finished basement and its condensation line may also be added to the port.
