Sock Drain Tile
A sleeved drain tile, pipe with filter sock, is used to take the water away from the home to a location down hill to stop the leak.
Sealed
The trench barrier is sealed to the foundation so all the water collected by the drainage system will get the water away from the basement foundation that is coming in over the sill plate.
NO Limestone Rock
We use the brown stone and not limestone so water can freely flow. Limestone with the dust may cause a concrete dam and not let the water all flow away.
Tunnel the Side Walk
To properly drain the water away from the home, the front side walk leading to the front porch needed to be tunneled to make the best pathway for the water to escape.
Solid Drain Line
The sill plate drain tile is attached to solid PVC pipe (white) so that all the water collected will be drained downhill away from the home.
Down Hill
The system is drained down hill away from the home.
Ground Replaced
The buried drain line is now beneath the sod and functioning as planned.
Landscaping Rock
The last step is to put back the landscaping rock.
Like We Were Never Here
The tunneled side walk for the drain line is like we were never here. Just to the left of the walkway in the grass you can look closely to see that the ground was removed and replaced as best possible. Over time the yard will look even better.
