The leaking basement problem was coming in from two areas. The rear wall/floor seam was leaking from hydrostatic pressure and also forcing its way up in the middle of the basement floor through a crack in this Collisnville IL home. We installed a TripleSAFE™ sump pump and basement floor laterial. The laterial was to releave the water buidling up form under the basement floor and drain it directly to the sump pump.

Leaking Floor Crack

If the water can not leak in at the basement perimeter, then the hydrostatic water pressure will force its way up through the basement floor crack.

Crack From Unfinished to the Finished

The floor crack went across the center of this basement.

This floor crack went from the rear unfinished area across the basement into the finished part too.

High Part of the Floor

A second floor crack "Y" off the crack going across the basement floor. This part of the floor was over an inch higher than the center of the basement floor. This part of the crack was not yet actively leaking since the pressure of the leak was being relieved at the lower part of the basement floor.

Seepage at the Floor/ Wall Seam

Typically basement leaks occur where the 3 different concrete pours for a basement meet. That is usually at the perimeter of the wall/ floor/ footing for home construction.

WaterGUARD™ Along the Wall and Floor

This specialized pipe is installed at the wall and floor seam that is leaking water. The water is drained to a sump pump and removed from around the home.

Floor Lateral Waterproofing

A small section of the basement floor is removed and drainage is installed to take the leaking water directly to the sump pump and keep it from getting on top of the basement floor.
