Installing a Larger TripleSAFE™ Sump Pump
The new sump pump with 3 pumps is larger than the old existing sump pump so some of that area needs to be enlarged.
TripleSAFE™ Sump Pump
The basement waterproofing system with Wall drainage, BrigthWALL™, controls all the ground water trying to get into this basement. It is all drained into the TripleSAFE™ sump pump system that has three individual pumps. The two main pumps each have a separate discharge line to get the water to the outside plus a battery back up pump.
BrightWALL™ Fastened to the Foundation Wall
At several locations per 4 X 8 panel, we drill into the wall to secure the BrightWALL™ to the block foundation wall.
Going Around Obstacles
As long as pipes are 10 or more inches away from the foundation wall the waterproofing system may go in easily behind the pipe. NOTE: at the bottom of the BrightWALL™ the fasteners are seen.
Next Section Covering the Block Wall
Close up of the next section of BrightWALL™ that will cover the block foundation wall.
Hot Water Heater Obstacle
As long the the basement floor breaks out properly and items are properly installed and far enough away from the basement wall to allow space to work, the waterproofing system can be installed without the extra cost to move appliances. SEE: Hot Water Heater is 2 and a half feet away from the wall and the floor broke out without causing a problem.
Headache
One section of the basement floor was nearly 6 inches thick, but just took a little more time to remove to install the waterproofing.
