Basement Floor is removed
A small section along the length of the wall at the floor seam is removed to install the WaterGUARD™ waterproofing system. BrightWALL™ is installed first, vertically, and will be the drainage and vapor barrier needed to control the leaks causing a wet basement.

WaterGUARD™ is a one piece drainage system that collects ground water leaks for beneath the basement floor, leaking from beneath the footing and wall seam and water penetrating through the vertical basement wall.

The properly drain the wall leaks and water leaking at the wall and basement floor seam, a section of the basement concrete floor is removed.
Waterproofing system going under a wall
With the concrete floor removed, the WaterGUARD™ waterproofing system is carefully positioned to accept water from the white BrightWALL™ vertical wall drainage system and vapor barrier. All the water leaking into the basement and making the classroom floor wet is taken to a sump pump.

The two sections of BrightWALL™ are mechanically fasten to the block basement foundation wall and the seam is taped air tight. At the floor, an inspection port is installed and can also be used as a drain for a dehumidifier.

Once the block foundation walls and basement floor are protected from leaking ground water, the sump pump system expels the water to the outside of the building.
