Crawl Space Before
When insulation is installed in a crawl space ceiling and then get wet it can fall out. It will also have a lot of mold. This is also a perfect area for critters and dust mites to thrive.
Crawl Space Before p2
Crawl spaces do not have to be scary areas. Often they are forgotten about and thus a lot of materials can be in there. By cleaning up a crawl space and doing a crawl space encapsulation we can increase the safety of the space, increase space in the home by making this usable for storage, and increase air quality throughout the entire home.
Multiple SmartJacks Installed
In this home SmartJacks were installed throughout the crawl space to give the extra support that was needed for the floor above. This picture was taken before the CleanSpace installation.
Anchor for SmartJack
The SmartJack system is anchored to the joist above it. When it can be linked to the wood joist it will have a steel anchor. Here it is welded to a supplemental steel support beam.
Crawl Space with CleanSpace and SmartJack
Installing CleanSpace will keep the water vapor from the soil and walls from entering the air making it great for storage. It also brightens the area and creates a larger looking space. SmartJacks are a steel assembly support system that was installed to give the floor above the extra support it needed.
Basement Before
The brick walls of the basement were allowing water to come through small cracks and the porous surface of the bricks.
Water in Basement Before WaterGuard
Water was pooling around the edges of the basement causing high humidity and water damage in the basement area.
WaterGuard Around Basement
The basement can now be used for storage without worry of water damage.
WaterGuard and TripleSafe
The WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard will capture any water before it enters the basement. The WaterGuard is specially designed to not clog and will lead directly to the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe is under the stairs at this home. It will collect any water that comes in and pump it outside the home. The TripleSafe has two electric pumps and one battery pump to ensure it is always working.
IceGuard on TripleSafe Discharge Line
Our IceGuard will stop water from going back into the basement if the discharge line becomes frozen or clogged.
Basement Window Installed
The old window had bricks falling from it creating gaps around it. The new window is made of vinyl so it will not rust or rot.
PowerBraces and SmartJacks in Basement
The PowerBrace work together to straighten the wall while the SmartJacks are attached to the joist providing extra support for the floor above.
Separating Ceiling from Walls
When the walls seem to sink from the ceiling this is a sign of foundation settling. It can begin as a crack and will continue to get larger until it is corrected.
Ceiling Separating in Another Room
The ceiling and walls were separating in multiple rooms showing this was a bigger problem than one area.
Push Pier In Ground
The steel Push Pier has rod that goes down into the solid earth. It is anchored to the footing of the home using at the end, pictured here.
Push Piers After Install
After the install of the Push Piers concrete is relaid. It will dry and become less noticeable. The home now has the support it needs to stay sturdy.
