IceGuard Installed
IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and it allows for water to expel from the guards in case pipes clog or freeze. This prevents water from backing up in the basement.
Landscape Outlet
Here, a landscape outlet was installed to the end of the sump pump's discharge line. This outlet is green so that it blends in with the lawn. This product is also in the ground so that it does not create a tripping hazard.
New Sump Pump
With the new addition of the sump pump, now this basement will be able to stay dry. A sump pump is a pump that is used to catch any water that enters the space and pumps it out of the house.
Installation in Action
This picture shows the process of WaterGuard installing on the perimeter of the wall. WaterGuard is a french draining system that collects all the water that enters the space.

Here is an up close view of the new discharge lines. Discharge lines are attached to the sump pump to carry the water out of the home.

This is the section of the basement where water would enter after heavy rains. Here you can see the newly installed sump pump and the WaterGuard (wet cement).
Mold Growth
Upon investigation, Team Woods noticed mold growth underneath the tiles. Thankfully now the space is waterproofed to prevent any further damage.
