Leaking in the corner
Seepage is coming in over the footing and under the basement foundation wall.
Basement floor removed
A trench is opened along the basement wall so the waterproofing system may be installed.
Hot Water Heater Obstacle
2 Obstacles: the furnace and hot water heater. Luckily the furnace was far enough away from the basement wall to work behind but going around the hot water heater and providing waterproofing protection is difficult.
Rear basement wall
The TripleSAFE™ sump pump is installed along the rear basement wall. Note the dark wet footing from the hot water heater and sump pump.
Hydrostatic seepage under the basement wall
This shows how water leaks into the basement on top of the footing and under the basement wall. With the basement floor in place the seepage gets on top of the floor causing a wet basement.
Corner leak
Once a section of the basement floor is removed, note the leak in the corner where the two basement wall meet.
Waterproofing around the hot water heater
This is showing the waterproofing system installed around the hot water heater and the concrete is replaced.
Finished waterproofing around the sump pump
Completed waterproofing to the TripleSAFE™ sump pump.
Exterior Sump Pump Discharge Lines
Since the TripleSAFE™ has 3 sump pumps, one being a battery backup, there are 2 separate discharge lines plus 2 IceGUARDS™ to make sure that water once pumped out will stay outside just in case the buried lines freeze or clog.
