Bottom Stairs Removed for Waterproofing in Granite City, IL
During the WaterGuard installation, foreman Brad P. and his crew removed the bottom two stairs in the basement. They were then able to remove the concrete under the stairs.

Once the four to five inch area of concrete was removed where the floor meets the wall, the crew was able to fill the area with rocks and place the WaterGuard against the base of the wall. A small lip will remain above the replaced concrete to allow any water that may leak through the wall to still be directed into the WaterGuard waterproofing system.

WaterGuard is designed to be installed in the floor along the perimeter of the basement and be connected to the sump pump. This allows all water leaking in through the wall or from under the floor to be directed in the the sump pump and pumped away from and out of the home.
