Waterproofing Funeral Basement in Saint.Louis
Challenge
Evidence of a flooding basement was found in a funeral home in St. Louis, MO, and Manager Jay H. was concerned that he wasn’t going to be able to show customers beautiful caskets anymore. Jay contacted Woods Basement Systems, Inc. and the company sent System Design Specialist Ken Herrmann to survey Jay’s company and diagnose what the problem was.
Once inspecting the damage in the basement, Ken Herrmann found that water was coming up through the foundation and the footer of the basement as proof of why the basement was flooded. The solution he had determined for Jay’s company was the TripleSafe SumpPump System, WaterGuard drainage System, and the IceGuard System that would help in keeping any water coming in to be pump out eliminating it for future flooding.
Solution
Once confirmed that the Waterproofing Systems was the best solution for Jay’s basement issues, woods Basement Systems, Inc. assigned the project to Forman William “Greg” Harvey, and the production of the project had begun on June 11, 2015 and was finalized by midday, June 12, 2015. William and his crew dug out trenches in Jay’s basement and dug out a hole to prepare for the installation of the TripleSafe SumpPump System and the WaterGuard drainage System. For the day and a half, William and his crew installed several feet of WaterGuard, 2 IceGuard pipe fittings and 1 TripleSafe SumpPump System and got they all fitting in nicely guaranteeing Jay that these systems would solve the flooding problem and will keep any further water from leaking in. after everything was concreted in and secure, William and his crew tested the SumpPump to make sure everything was working accordingly.
Satisfied with the work, jay had peace of mind that he wouldn’t need to worry about water flooding his basement anymore.
