WaterGuard Installation in Kirkwood, MO
Challenge
This resident of Kirkwood, MO had an unreliable waterproofing system that did not keep the basement dry. Rain would flood the basement, and the sump pump could not keep up with the amount of incoming water. The homeowner wanted to use his unfinished basement for storage, but was unable to do so. Right now the basement was merely wasted space in the home, and the homeowner wanted to solve this problem.
Solution
Woods Basement Systems installed WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump in order to keep the resident’s basement dry. WaterGuard is a piping system designed specifically to solve basement water problems without the worry of clogging pipes. It is installed on top of the footing rather than beside it, so the dirt and debris from below cannot enter. It also has a special wall flange to collect any wall seepage and drain it to the sump pump. This system is an extremely effective way to permanently waterproof a basement.
The TripleSafe sump pump is a reliable three-pump system. If the first pump fails, the second pump takes over. If pump 1 can’t keep up with the amount of incoming water, both pumps 1 and 2 work to get the job done. If power is lost, a third battery operated pump automatically turns on. It also has a WaterWatch alarm system that sounds off when the water rises above the operating range of the pumps, warning the resident before any damage can occur.
Each of these products together work to effectively keep the basement dry, resulting in a happy customer with more storage space in his home.
