Failed Sump Pump in Columbia, IL
Challenge
A Columbia, IL resident was tired of dealing with a wet basement every time it rained. There were small hairline cracks in the basement walls, the windows were leaky, and the old sump pump couldn’t keep up with the amount of incoming water. The resident wanted to solve the problem and keep her basement dry all the time.
Solution
Woods Basement Systems installed WaterGuard, TripleSafe, and replaced the leaky windows. WaterGuard is a piping system designed specifically to not clog. It is installed on top of the footing rather than beside it, so dirt and debris from below does not enter into it. The WaterGuard system carries the water to the sump pump, which leads it out and away from the home.
The TripleSafe is the world’s most reliable sump pump. It is a three-pump system that works with WaterGuard to permanently waterproof basements. If the first pump fails, the second pump automatically kicks on. If the first pump can’t keep up with the amount of incoming water, then both pumps 1 and 2 work to get the job done. If power is a lost, a battery-operated third pump automatically comes on and pumps the water away.
The new windows, along with the waterproofing system, resulted in a dry basement and a happy customer.
