Basement Finishing Photo Album: Repairing and Replacing a Problematic Basement Wall in Saint Charles, MO
A basement wall was shifting in Saint Charles, MO, and leaking water. The homeowner also wanted to refinish it. To solve these issues, GeoLock Wall Anchors were first installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. Next, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the WaterGuard System. This interior perimeter drainage system will carry all incoming water through the wall to the sump pump. Lastly, the EverLast Wall Restoration System was installed. The trim of this system is all plastic and installed over metal studs, so no paint is ever needed. It also can’t be ruined by a plumbing leak or high humidity. It will also prevent mold from growing. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain dry and stable, and can be enjoyed for years to come!
