Basement Finishing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing and Finishing in Jacksonville, IL

A Jacksonville, IL basement was damaged because of water entering, so it needed to be waterproofed and refinished. First, Woods removed the lower portion of the drywall and installed the WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System. These pipes intercept water at the wall and floor joint of the basement and drain it towards the TripleSafe Sump System, which was also installed to pump the water away from the house. This advanced sump pump system will remain working even if there is no power to the house, thanks to the UltraSump battery backup pumping system. Next, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge System was installed to allow water to escape if the pipes freeze over or are blocked for any reason. A LawnScape Outlet was also installed. This underground downspout extension for sump pump discharge lines will allow water to be drained out farther from the house.  Next, the EverLast Basement Wall System was installed to restore the bottom half of the finished walls without ripping apart the entire basement. This will prevent more mold from appearing and keep the walls looking new and clean. Lastly, the ThermalDry Elite Plank flooring was installed to replace the old flooring. The planks have pegs that raise the flooring above the concrete floor, preventing water vapor from getting trapped and providing a thermal break from the cold concrete slab. This results in a warmer basement floor that won't grow mold, rot, or buckle. This basement will be free of water and look amazing for years to come!
