Basement Insulated Walls
The insulated wall are mechanically fastened to the foundation wall and squared before finishing. Metal studs are used so there is no material available for mold to thrive on and live.
Door Trench Drain
Across the basement door is a trench drain that controls leaks from water coming in under the door. Any leak is direct to the waterproofing system that leads to the sump pump. Finished panel are in place over the insulated wall.
2 inches of Wall Insulation
The insulated wall have an R 13 rating and are 2 inches thick. SEE the door latch and the insulated wall to the right.
TripleSAFE™ Basement Sump Pump System
This sump pump system has 3 sump pumps. Two primary pumps and a 3rd battery back up sump pump. The pit lid controls evaporation from the water in the sump pump and has a radon approved floor drain for condensation lines. Water can enter the sump pump but air cannot escape out of the floor drain.
Waterproof Floor and Wall
The waterproofing tiles are custom for a basement and are waterproofed. The remodeled wall was moisture barrier on the back with a fished look that will not support mold growth.
