Water Stains Outside
Once Team Woods arrived at the home, one of the first tasks was to investigate the inside and outside of the affected area to find the root of the issue. If the source of the issue wasn't tackled, the job wouldn't be permanent.
Leaky Wall
The homeowner noted that this brick wall had small cracks that had developed over time. These cracks let in water that spread to other areas of the basement.
Brick Walls
Brick walls are susceptible to water leaks because as the foundation of the home settles, the bricks will shift and create gaps in the walls. These gaps make it easy for water to leak in during heavy rainstorms.
Water Stains Inside
Where the walls met the floor, there was also evidence of water leaks. For the ultimate repair, Team Woods would soon install WaterGuard drains into the footing of the walls to direct water leaks towards the basement sump pump.
Freshly Installed
In the footing of the leaky wall, you can see the freshly installed WaterGuard!
Drainage System Installed
WaterGuard is installed in the footing of the walls to prevent clogging and to keep water out of the basement by draining the leaks to the sump pump.
Sump Pump Installed
Lastly, to work with the WaterGuard drains, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the corner of the basement. Previously this home didn't have any means of protection against water leaks, and now it's ready to take on any leaks! These duo waterproofing products will collect and pump out all leaks that try to seep into the home.
