Florissant, MO Basement Waterproofing System Passes the Test
Missouri and Illinois residents have seen a lot of precipitation in the past week (up to 10 inches in some areas). Some O'Fallon, Illinois basements suffered flooding when neighborhood sewer systems were overwhelmed with rainwater, and Midwestern river cities braced for floodwaters following last week's torrential downpour.
Though St. Louis was inundated with rainfall, one basement waterproofing system has passed the test.
As one Florissant, MO resident put it, "I'm pretty sure I'm just about the only person in Florissant with a dry basement."
A year and a half ago, Beth hired Woods Basement Systems to install a full-perimeter drainage system, powerful sump pumps, and a battery backup sump pump system in case of power outage or mechanical failure.
One week ago, the system passed its first true test since its installation.
"My power went out the night of the tornados," Beth explained. "Power was out over 12 hours and the pump was discharging pretty frequently...but the battery lasted and everything worked beautifully!"
Having experienced both a power outage and a downpour just one week apart, Beth is glad she invested in the extra protection. And she let Woods know just how happy she was, posting on the company's Facebook Timeline over the weekend.
