Waterproofing And Concrete Repair In Saint Peters, MO
Back in February of 2024, Martha A. of Saint Peters, MO, was becoming increasingly frustrated with the water collection in her basement. She contacted Woods Basement Systems to help rectify this issue. Additionally, she was hoping for some leveling on her displaced concrete driveway as well. To address the standing water in the basement, Woods had a service specialist come out and investigate the situation. The sump pump that had been installed previously was not taking in any water. Woods deduced that the water was having difficulty making its way to the sump pump. The WaterGuard System was installed to provide a channel to guide the water to the preexisting sump pump. This system is a network of specialized piping that is placed just above the soil and directly within the floor, ensuring the piping systems will stay clog-free.
When the next heavy storm came, Martha went down to her basement with towels in hand, fully prepared for water on her basement floor. To her pleasant surprise, there was no water to clean up – it was all being collected and removed by her sump pump, as the groundwater seepage now had a direct pathway to it.
Woods also corrected the displaced concrete slabs in her driveway. There had been significant sinkage, particularly in the middle portion. The PolyLevel System was used to correct this. It consists of a high-density polyurethane foam that is injected directly under the troublesome concrete slab. As it sets, the foam expands and lifts the concrete back to its original position. Woods also took the time to address another sinking area on Martha’s back porch. While our foreman Frankie Davis was unable to return it to its original position, Martha A. was overjoyed regardless. She commented on how Woods exceeded her expectations, and that she is thrilled to be able to use her basement, back patio, and driveway to their fullest capabilities. Great job Woods!
