Woods Basement Systems Wins 2012 BBB TORCH Award

St. Louis, Mo., August, 15, 2012 — Woods Basement Systems Inc. of Collinsville, Ill., is among 11 businesses and two charities that will be presented with BBB TORCH Awards for exceptional ethical business practices and customer service from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois on Nov. 2.

Family-owned Woods Basement Systems puts customers at ease with its phone greeting: “Yes, I can help you.” The company, a BBB Accredited Business since 2000, makes sure it’s a person who answers those phones, too.

Homeowners receive a packet with a picture of the salesman who will call them before the appointment, and they get postcards with photos of technicians and foremen who will work on the project before it begins. It’s all designed to assure the customer.

“The thing that makes us different is that we keep adding the small steps to make our company a company of choice,” said Wayne Woods, general manager, whose father started the business 26 years ago. 

The BBB will present the TORCH Awards at a luncheon on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Chase Park Plaza. Tickets for the luncheon are available at $50 a person, or $500 for a table of 10. Patron tables for 10 are available for $1,500. Reservations can be made by calling 1-866-627-6475.
