5 Steps to Radon Test your Home

1. Buy the test kit. Call us at 1-866-627-6475 to purchase your radon test kit. The cost of $22 per kit includes shipping and lab fees.

2.  Prepare the test. Remove the kit from the plastic.

3.  Place the test kit. Place the test kit in the lowest level of your home. If you have a crawl space, place the test kit in the center of large room on the floor above the crawl space.

The test kit should be placed on a flat surface with the paper side up at least two feet off the floor but no higher than 6 feet.

Do not place the test kit in areas where there is a draft, fireplace, furnace, high humidity, direct sunlight.

4. Complete the information sheet. Thoroughly fill in the information on the form. Be sure to include the time you opened the kit. After at least 48 hours, include the time that you completed the test.

5. Mail the test kit. Slide the test into the foil envelope, apply the appropriate postage, and mail the kit to the lab.
