Last week we discussed level one, toxic compounds. This week we will discuss the Environmental Protection Agency’s second danger level of indoor air quality, infectious illness.
Can you think of a time where someone came home from work or school sick; and then like dominos each other person in the household got sick too? This is because of infectious illnesses such as bacteria, viruses, and germs.
These infectious illnesses can be in the form of airborne illnesses or microorganisms and are carried in to homes by people and animals. Once in the home, they either are or become airborne; then they can get sucked into and circulated through the air distribution system causing compromised air quality.
