Household Dehumidifiers vs. the SaniDry XP
Household dehumidifiers just can’t get the job done, and here’s why…
- They are too small.
- The cold coil (the part that actually takes the water out of the air) is too small.
- The fan is too small (if it were bigger, it would blow the air past the small coil too fast and not take any water out).
- The fan doesn’t circulate the dry air around your crawl space (you guessed it—because it’s too small).
- They usually don’t drain automatically into the waterproofing system, so they shut off once the bucket is full (and you have to deal with emptying it).
- They aren’t nearly as effective or efficient when they’re put in a cool basement.
There is simply no comparison between a household dehumidifier and the SaniDry XP or SaniDry CX Air System. They do a much better job at drying out the air and circulating it around you home, as well as filtering it. Also, you don’t have to put up with the inconvenience of emptying the bucket once it fills up. The choice is obvious!
