Alternatives to Ugly Downspouts

It’s common sense that you need to prevent your gutters from dumping water next to your foundation, but isn’t there a better way to do it than laying long ugly pipes in your yard?  Yes, there is!  Instead of having big contraptions that get in the way, one option is to bury the pipe and have a LawnScape Outlet installed.  This allows the water to flow out and away from your home and isn’t an eyesore.  The cover also unscrews in order to remove any debris that may collect inside.

Another option is a product called RainChute.  RainChute is installed at the end of your gutters and is recessed into the ground about an inch or so.  It takes the water up to 7 feet away and usually makes a big difference when it comes to water flow.  The advantage of RainChute is that it is not a tripping hazard or mowing problem.  It’s not unsightly, yet it’s not underground either, so it’s inexpensive and won’t clog.

There is one more alternative for areas that are landscaped and don’t need mowing.  It’s called the RainChute EZ and is similar to the RainChute, but is not installed in the ground.  It’s a simple extension to your gutter that will get the job done.
