Finishing your basement: What you should do first

Finally, you’ve finished your basement.  You laid down carpet, painted the walls, put up decorations and organized the furniture.  You’ve got your new office and a family room in the basement and even a game room for the kids.  Everyone is so happy and you finally have it the way it was intended to be.  But uh oh, a big rain storm is coming in and you are worried about how well you waterproofed your basement for this type of situation.
