Garage Room Made Comfortable in Olivette, MO
Challenge
Homeowner John needed to find a way to make his daughter's room, located above the garage, more comfortable and energy efficient. Dr. Energy Saver knew just what to do to solve John's needs.
Solution
First, spray foam needed to be applied to the knee wall in order to improve thermal boundary and prevent air transfer between garage and conditioned space. Then holes were drilled into the garage ceiling, then filled with dense-pack cellulose insulation. The holes werre plugged and sealed with one coat of taping compound in order to improve comfort and energy efficiencey of the room above the garage.
