Support posts were failing in a basement in Monticello, IL, causing concern. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. These are steel support systems that can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in a basement. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans, and solve the problem once and for all!

Water was leaking in a basement in Monticello, IL, causing damage and concern. To solve this issue, the WaterGuard system was first installed. This drainage system is installed adjacent to the home and provides a channel that connects to the sump pump.  Its design will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed. This system assures protection from everyday problems with an ordinary pump. The TripleSafe can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. This basement will now stay dry all the time thanks to these systems!

A crawlspace in Monticello, IL, was  humid, needing to be addressed. The homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, a CleanSpace™ liner was used to keep the humidity out. This highly durable liner can also keep out other outside elements like rot and critter. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their crawlspace will remain dry and in great shape!

Foreman Jeremy R Installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Del’s Basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to stable soil away from the house. The other end will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and over time will straighten the walls. 

A crawlspace in Teutopolis, IL was having some water problems, and it was making the space start to smell because of the mold that had begun to grow. To solve this Issue, Woods first installed the CleanSpace liner. This will isolate the crawlspace from the dirt, and keep it free of insects, water, and mold. Next, a SmartSump was installed to pump any water that gets in out of the house. Lastly, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was added to keep the crawlspace air clean and dry.
