Greenville, IL CleanSpace Encapsulation
Challenge
This Greenville, IL resident had a nasty crawl space in need of a makeover. The crawl space was musty and moldy, causing the entire house to have an odor. It was extremely dusty and dirty, with lots of unwanted creatures such as insects. An encapsulation system was just what this crawl space needed to make the home more comfortable for the residents.
Solution
Woods Basement Systems installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation system in the crawl space, along with a SuperSump and a SaniDry Model CSB. CleanSpace is a thick liner that is fitted to the crawl space in order to completely seal off the home from the earth. It has multiple layers, is flexible, and is puncture and tear resistant. CleanSpace is bright white, which dramatically transforms the nasty crawl space into a clean usable storage space. CleanSpace also has an antimicrobial additive in the material that prevents mold growth on the liner.
The SuperSump can pump up to 2,650 gallons an hour smoothly and quietly. It resists clogging and is extremely reliable. It also includes a WaterWatch alarm system that sounds off when the water rises above the range of the pump, warning the homeowner before any damage occurs. The airtight lid keeps out moisture, odors, and bugs and also makes the pump quieter.
The SaniDry Model CSB is the perfect crawl space air system. It keeps the air dry and automatically drains the water. It also acts as an air filtration system, filtering particles down to 2 microns. The SaniDry, along with the SuperSump, result in a dry crawl space all the time.
The homeowner was very pleased with the work done by Woods and now enjoys a clean and usable crawl space.
